A document Imaging System is a combination of hardware and software used to track and store electronic documents and digital images of paper documents. Document Imaging systems commonly provide storage, versioning, metadata, security, collaboration, as well as indexing and retrieval capabilities. Documents are captured either through a scanned paper image or through importing a data file where OCR software is used to convert digital images into machine readable text. Once captured, files are indexed so that they can be quickly and easily retrieved from the PCs in your office or possibly through a web-browser.
Document Capture Solutions can include workflow that enables documents to be captured sooner in the business process and converted into usable information thus improving productivity and efficiency. Put the right content in the right person’s hands at the right time so that decisions are made quickly and your customers remain happy. We can also assist you with document archiving solutions such as record retention and the archival of emails thus helping you remain in compliance and mitigate legal risks. You determine what documents need to be permanently archived and which ones can be purged after a specific period of time.
